As a qualified Nutritionist predominately specialising in women’s health and menopause, I offer evidence-based advice with compassion and realism to help you through your journey.
Appreciating that food is often an afterthought, or a coping method during various stages of life, understanding the importance and benefits are integral for optimal health and wellbeing.
My approach is not a quick fix – you will need to be ready to implement change and a little hard work, but I will be there to support and encourage you along the way with advice, guidance, diet therapy and scientific research to help achieve your goals and meet your needs.
Beyond food, we can incorporate lifestyle and exercise strategies to support your vitality and energy levels.
Together, we’ll create a holistic plan that fits seamlessly into your life!

Before becoming a Nutritionists, I worked in The City as a trading assistant and back-office support for Equity Options Traders, and simultaneously, as a qualified Personal Trainer to private clients.
My core focus has always been related to health, exercise and nutrition, so jumping forward a few years, I decided to commit further my passion and embark on a journey to become a qualified nutritionist.
During my early years of nutritional training, I began to experience perimenopausal symptoms, and soon realised that there was very little dietary advice or guidance for women going through this stage of life. Feeling motivated to educate myself further, I completed a Menopause Awareness Diploma in 2023.
I now fully appreciate and understand that by making well-informed dietary choices, alongside correct exercise routines, you can support the body and mind to achieve your goals and improve your health.
The Nutrition Approach was founded by Gemma Macklin, a qualified Personal Trainer and associate Nutritionist, with a BSc Honours in Human Nutrition from the University of Westminster, London.
